There are a bewildering array of different styles of therapy and self help tools available today. There are many that are rehashes of old techniques that are given marvellous new names, and some have some fantastic claims attached to them with regards to their effectiveness. Going down the self help route can be a bit of a lottery, and an expensive one at that.
This is why it can be more effective to seek the help of a credible, professional therapist.
